How are dermatologists trained?Dermatologists are physicians who undergo basic medical school training followed by 3-4 years of extra training in the field of dermatology. Today, dermatology is also sub-specialized and many dermatologists have additional training in lasers, cosmetic procedures, hair transplantation, varicose and spider vein treatments, etc.
